10 Communities in the Transylvanian Highlands Decide Their Own Future

When you live in a unique landscape such as the Transylvanian Highlands eco-destination, you have something to be proud of.

Rich nature, cultural diversity, and traditions are preserved, attracting tourists from home and abroad. But that’s not all!

Cosmin Dumitrache, the cameraman who directed together with photographer Dan Dinu the documentary România Sălbatică, captured more than just the landscape, he immortalized the soul of the area: the people who live in the Transylvanian Highlands.

We invite you to see how civic spirit helps overcome challenges in 10 local communities. Here we ran together with Mioritics Association and WWF Romania the PACT2020: Active Partnership project which supported people to become a voice in local decision-making through education and information.

The project is implemented through the Active Citizens Fund – Romania Programme, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021.
