We obtained the Human Nature 2024 award for the restoration of the Saxon Church & Fortified Complex in Alma Vii, Sibiu County, offered by the Romanian Order of Architects (OAR), the regional biennial of the OAR branches Brașov – Covasna – Harghita, Sibiu – Vâlcea and Mureș. The award aims to recognize and promote the best work done by teams of architects.
Essentially, the OAR protects and promotes the quality of the architectural and urban planning product by ensuring architects work competently and adhere to the profession’s ethical code. Architecture is not just about buildings and structures, it is about how they influence our lives, how they create spaces where we live, work, and play. In a way, architects are magicians of space: they have the ability to transform spaces, creating places that are not only functional but also inspiring and delightful. They combine art and science to bring our ideas and dreams to life.
The restoration project of the Church & fortified complex in Alma Vii was carried out by Mood Factory, architect: Ovidiu Taloș, in collaboration with specialist architect Cornel Taloș, architect Natalia Achim, architect Mădălina Marinescu and resistance engineer Levente Gurzo. Unicons & Koncz Metal Industry, site manager: Mircea Liancă, executed the works.
