In-clus. Ex-clus. Our Advocacy Campaign Continues: Episode 4

As many of you already know, our “In-Cluded. Ex-Cluded. When a Syllable Decides Destiny” campaign has been active for the past week. Today marks the airing of episode 4, in which we hope to share more details surrounding the opportunities and challenges identified by the 16 NGOs and other participating individuals on November 14th.

Opportunities:

1. Local NGOs have higher chances of succeeding by working closely together than by acting individually.

2. Social inclusion events – such as MET’s Harvest Day in Archita – are very beneficial.

3. Games bring children and people together; as one workshop participant noted, “There is no poverty in play.”

4. NGOs’ perseverance yields long-term results.

Challenges:

1. Religious barriers can often prevent interactions with vulnerable individuals.

2. We should discuss solutions to situations in which local authorities refuse to collaborate with NGOs for objective reasons.

3. Aid offered by NGOs is not always well received by vulnerable individuals. For example, there have been instances of donated clothes being thrown away into fields by their recipients.

What is your perspective on this, regardless of your vantage point?

Join our virtual brainstorming session, where we aim to identify 100 ideas for social inclusion, inspired by your individual experiences and endeavors. These ideas will be featured in a common guide for several NGOs and social inclusion initiatives. Note down your idea or ideas in an email to: contact@mihaieminescutrust.ro by November 29th, the end date of our campaign.
