What Prizes Would you like to See Featured in our Upcoming Fundraising Campaign? Let Us Know!

We are preparing for our upcoming crowdfunding campaign, which aims to finance the restoration of a deteriorated house in Sighișoara, and to prepare it for its next life as a piece of the city’s communal fabric – a workshop and exhibition space for young craftspeople volunteering their time to enrich the community.

We are reaching out to solicit your feedback on the prizes we are contemplating for this campaign. We invite you to share your thoughts on the options below, and to chime in with any other possibilities that we may not have thought of ourselves.

Together with the Development Consultancy Group DCG, we will launch a rewards-based crowdfunding campaign on the “consolid8” platform, in exchange for participants’ financial support. Prizes will be sold upon receiving donors’ contributions.

Currently, we are contemplating several prizes based on different contribution levels:

  • The SYMPATHIZER will enjoy free access to this year’s Foundation events taking place in the Sighișoara area.
  • The ALTRUIST will receive a basket of local traditional products, including organic apple juice, brandy, a jar of vegetable preserves, a jar of local jam, and delicious salami made from mangaliţa meat.
  • The SUPPORTER will receive a collection of artisanal objects made by local craftsmen.
  • The GOOD SAMARITAN, along with one guest, will receive two free nights of accommodation at one of our traditional MET guesthouses. Depending on the village selected for the stay, they will also enjoy an introductory course in weaving, wool dyeing, blacksmithing, artisanal recycling, wood painting, or carpentry. Should the accommodation period coincide with a local MET event, the Good Samaritan will also be honoured with our public thanks.
  • The PHILANTHROPIST can organize a dedicated event in Sighișoara’s Butchers’ Bastion and will receive two nights of accommodation for themselves and one guest at one of our Transylvanian guesthouses.

The PROTECTOR will enjoy a four-day personalised tour from Viscri to Alma Vii, including accommodations for themselves and one guest, tours of the Transylvanian fortified churches and buildings restored by MET, and a meal with the Foundation team and Caroline Fernolend, its President. She will share the Foundation’s story – its beginnings, philosophy, and guiding principles – and our journey to build one of the most prestigious heritage
