In 2015, for a semester, 25 second grade students from Joseph Haltrich High School, Sighișoara, pretended to be young architects, supervised by Noemi Simo, the collaborating Architect of our Foundation. She was the one who, week by week, turned the little ones into “urban detectives” and introduced them to the secrets of architecture: the little ones visited the city, found out how an architect works, what a plan or sketch means and what materials are used for constructions. Orientation in space, concepts related to monuments and heritage, light, shadows, colours, use of visual memory, new and old city were other topics explained to the participants. The Horizon Foundation encouraged this project and they also offered funding for its realization. What a great project!
